The 11 Apps I Use the Most

Last month, after several long years of waiting, I finally became on iPhone user. And naturally, I became totally app obsessed. So for June’s edition of 11 on the 11th, I present: The 11 Apps I Use The Most!

1) Evernote

The regular old Notes app wasn’t cutting it for me, so I found something better. Evernote it is! This is app lets your sort your notes into “notebooks”, style your text, include images and add tags. It’s much easier to stay organized and is more visually appealing. You can also download to the Mac App and sync extremely easily from your phone to your computer!

2) Words with Friends/ Scramble with Friends

Quite possibly the only games I never get tired of . I’m a word game addict OKAY! Challenge Me: britskee03. I need some real competition :p

3) Grocery IQ

Save paper! Write your grocery list on your phone! This app is great for organizing your grocery list. The app organizes the items by aisle to save you time shopping. You can also organize items by store and save common items so that you don’t forget them.

4) Spin Art

The best app for when I’m bored to tears and feel like doing something that requires no brain power what-so-ever. And it makes pretty pictures.

5) Yelp

When I moved back to Denver, I moved closer to downtown; an area I’m quite as familiar with. Since I work remotely, I’m always on the lookout for new coffee shops and places to call my office.

6) Skype

Skype mobile has actually helped me in ways I wouldn’t have thought of before. The library, where I go to work a lot, so if I absolutely have to make a phone call I can do it over WiFi!

7) Google Maps

If you know me, you know that I’m not known for my impeccable sense of direction. I honestly don’t even know how I survived with out this app. Especially with having to use to the bus system, Google Maps has help me tremendously without having to carry 8 different maps in my purse.

8) Foursquare

This app is oddly addicting and I don’t know why. In truth I don’t really want people knowing where I am all the time, yet everytime I arrive somewhere new I feel compelled to check in. Trying to cut back on this habit, because I’m really not sure I like it.

9) Twitter

Twitter mobile turns me into a bigger tweetaholic than I already am. And I love how easy it is to switch between several accounts. Makes me wonder why the Twitter website doesn’t make it so simple.

10) Pinterest

This site is obviously huge right now and the mobile app is a great boredom buster. Just wish it would load a little faster.

11) Facebook

I feel this one doesn’t even need an explanation.

So there you go! What apps do you use the most? Any of them on this list? I’m in the market for some new apps to add so throw some suggestions at me in the comments!

  1. I know I resisted getting a cell phone for the longest time. Now that I have one, I have it with me everywhere and am constantly using it.

One of my favorite apps is the Kindle app. Lets me read Kindle books wherever I’m at. I have found that if I use white text on black background, I don’t get the glare problem. And since it’s on my phone, I have the text scaled up as high as it will go, which may mean more page turns, but makes it more readable.

Okay… I have to admit in the last few months, I’ve also gotten addicted to my Rubik’s cube app… I can do all 4 on there now… the 2x2x2, the 3x3x3, the 4x4x4, and the 5x5x5 (thought that last one, I’m still learning one or two parity fixes).

Thanks for sharing your favorite apps!
