I always find that bringing out a little quirkiness when coming up with headlines and titles draws peoples attention.

That's not to say you have to be totally bizarre ;0, but shock-value will def. make people hungry for more.

When I engage in forum marketing on behalf of Manifest Income, I sometimes create threads in forums I know people can't help but want to click.

The title is everything followed by a strong delivery.

My partner Matt wrote an excellent guest post on FPM about the power of forum marketing here: http://www.firepolemarketing.com/2013/05/03/forums-firestarter/

Would love to get your Britt-inspired input on the piece ;0, we've been having some great discussion with some industry legends, and we love all perspectives on what they think of forum marketing.

So next time you're coming up with a title, come up with something that you couldn't resist to click on.... if you start thinking like that, the rest is a piece of cake.

Exactly! Or a lot of people that use Twitter don't understand the idea of interaction and engagement and think it's just a giant bulletin board. I guess you just have to learn from experience.

I think lot of people don’t use Twitter because they don’t know how. Twitter has it’s own thing going on. There’s nothing worse than repeatedly begging your fans to follow you on Twitter. If you see no one is responding you need to take a better look at how you are asking for them to do you a favor. That is a problem. Why should they do you a favor. Make it interesting for them. The bottom line is that you want to entice become your followers on Twitter not force them.

Thanks for the suggestion, Grady! I'll check it out!

The font I'm using in my logo is Blackoak Std. However, I distorted it quite a bit (a big typography no-no!) It's very wide in it's original state.

Hey, Britt! I can totally understand the taking 4 months off, since I kind of just came back from some time off myself :D

As far as themes, I think my favorite right now is Thesis, which just released a new version (though I haven't checked out the new one yet). It's a paid theme, but has a lot of functionality combined with a "point and click" interface with a number of SEO functions built in. It's what I have on my site, and it's very adaptable, and this newer version is supposed to be easier and more features.

Just out of curiosity, though, do you know what font you used on your logo?

Hope you have a great day!

Ha ha, yeah! I LOVE this quote! It's my favorite quote because it's so inspirational. I really don't think anyone should go into a new endeavor believing they'll be the next "ZUCK", but I do agree with the quote.

It seems like all these tech giants (Zuck, Gates, Larry Page & Sergey Brin, ect) went to/dropped out of Harvard, are MALE (that's another thing you don't see often or at all :Female techies "on the level"), White, and 20 yrs old. I only found ONE woman, whose name I forget, but she co+founded NING (the social networking site, and they have 20 million users.
