I’m baaaAAAACCCcckkk! (I hope you said that in your head the way I wanted you to). It’s only been what, like 4 months? So I suppose you’d like to know where the hell I’ve been all this time. Well, long story short I started a new job, got lazy and unfocused and got a terrible case of writers/ designers block. But, I’m back now. I hope. I’m currently working on a brand spanking new design for my blog. Part of the reason I stopped blogging was because I just got tired of looking at it. Sometimes the best thing to do when you’re stuck on something is just take your eyes off of it for a while. My job has calmed down for the time being so I’m hoping I can use this time to get the blog up and running again. If you’re reading this, thanks for sticking it out with me. And if you have any good resources for building your own WordPress theme I would love it if you would send it my way. Stay tuned because I’m planning an election post sometime this week. A totally silly non partisan election post, that is.

Hey, Britt! I can totally understand the taking 4 months off, since I kind of just came back from some time off myself :D
As far as themes, I think my favorite right now is Thesis, which just released a new version (though I haven’t checked out the new one yet). It’s a paid theme, but has a lot of functionality combined with a “point and click” interface with a number of SEO functions built in. It’s what I have on my site, and it’s very adaptable, and this newer version is supposed to be easier and more features.
Just out of curiosity, though, do you know what font you used on your logo?

The font I’m using in my logo is Blackoak Std. However, I distorted it quite a bit (a big typography no-no!) It’s very wide in it’s original state.
You know what they say about rules… The best thing is knowing when to break them, right? :D
